The bar scene w Dee Wallace watching Dudley play piano , gives me goosebumps every time . His playing was so great and I truly believe in all her films , this scene where she looks at him so lovingly is the best acting of her I’ve ever seen in her other films . It shows sometimes “ less IS more “. I also love when “his ol friend Don “ says to him , “ for what it’s worth , I like YOUR songs . Oh god. Love all these bar scenes . I can just feel what she feels in this scene , it’s so emotional on her end .😢

I used to see Carole King on TV all the time in the 70s. Frequent musical guest. A great talent. Eric does some amazing work on this song.

I watch this every now and then and wonder what Eric was doing there and was he actually touring with Carole at that time. He looks like he’s a teenager here. His playing is brilliant, I’m guessing this was before he recorded Tones.

When I saw them there was only one of the original trio left and I'm guessing that's the case here. He told several "A man walks into a bar" jokes.

Liked the earlier formation of the Trio...what a fabulous group it was. It was a simpler and happier time back then...wish it could return, but we have long since passed the last offramp.

Enrico (Hanry) Nicola Mancini; anche lui con sangue Italiano ( madre e padre). Morricone, Rota, Mancini, Cipriani, Michelizzi,… insomma: la grande musica ha nel cuore l’ Italia.

I had the joy and sadness of meeting Natalie when she was 9 yrs old and living with her mother and father on east 83rd street. Mr Cole passed away from lung cancer and my job was to move Natalie and Mrs Cole to their new home after her dad died! It was sad but needed to be done! I was so overwhelmed when I saw all of Mr Cole’s gold records he had achieved and was hanging on his walls in his home! It is a memory I will always cherish!

That was a wonderful concert, with 2 brilliant musical icons. I love them both tremendously. I was surprised and delighted to hear John Williams' NBC theme "The Mission" later in the program. I always choke up when I hear that -- it reminds me of seeing the entire thing played on the NBC weekend news programs. My patriotism swelling as I watched the icons of this great country on my tv screen. (Golden Gate Bridge, DC landmarks, Statue of Liberty)
